Having landed in Pune, the demands on me were clear. The actual relocation pain starts here. Find a house for rent meeting certain criteria, shift to the house, buy essentials - initial, pack and move household articles from Bangalore, bring in my wife and her mother/brother, buy essentials - must have goods, unpack and arrange goods once they arrive - and then more buying, which probably never ends.
In the middle of all this, I had to get up to speed at the new workplace and make all the right noises. The best impression is the first one, isn't it?
My bike arrived on Tuesday night, which was supposed to have reached on Sunday morning (24-AUG-2008). That set us on the back-foot by 3 days. Our house hunting lasted over 5 days, 6 agents, 100+ desperate phone calls, ~300 kms on road, 10+ houses and lots of frustration. That's the 'Grind' and I chose to go through that, so no complaints.
I've moved in to the house we found, and bought some essentials to start with. My father gave me company and lots of support by being with me all along. The family is scheduled to arrive this Monday (8-SEP-2008) evening and the goods by mid next week.
